McDonald's Shrek Glasses Recall

Those cute little Shrek Glasses that McDonald's here had a few weeks ago are subject to a recall due to high Cadminium in the paint. Click here for more info. Apparently we will learn what to do for a refund ect.... later.

Changes to Shoppers Optimum Program

Effective July 1st there are some changes to the Shoppers Drug Mart Optimum Program.


Current System
$10 for 7000
$25 for 15000
$55 for 30000
$75 for 40000
$150 for 75000

New System (GASP!!)
$10 for 8000
$30 for 22000
$50 for 38000
$85 for 50000
$170 for 95000

Word on the street is that bonus redemption will stay the same. Overall, it is obviously a decrease in the value of your points. It's unfortunate, but not unforseable I suppose.

Bonus Redemption AGAIN!!

Shoppers Drug Mart is having a bonus redemption again. Use 40,000 Optimum points and get $100 off your order instead of the usual $75 and use 75,000 Optimum points and get $200 instead of $150.

If you didn't use up your points in the last event now is the time. Before the changes take effect.
